I received a call from a flat owner in Southville regarding an upgrade to their door security.
First, while were on the phone, I requested a couple of photos of the existing lock. I then responded with multiple different quotes, giving options and explaining clearly the differences. Shortly after the phone call, we had the job booked in for the following day.
They decided to go with a High security mortice deadlock. However they also wanted a ‘thumb-turn’ on the inside. Luckily, we can install a TS007, 3 Star cylinder with our high security euro profile deadlock case. As you can see from the photo, this means that they can still have an internal thumb-turn, which in a flat is very important relating to fire safety. The use of ‘keyless escape’ in case of an emergency is in fact stated for fire regulations regarding to HMO’s (Houses of Multiple Occupancy).
