We received a call from a someone near Aspects Leisure Park in Longwell Green, unable to open their back door. As you can see, it was a upvc door with a multi-point locking mechanism installed. The handle was jammed solid and the locking points were all fully retracted. We efficiently got to work and had the door open in less than 15 minutes. It was a failed gearbox. The door alignment was out, which is most likely the reason the gearbox had failed. This meant adjusting the hinges, and testing the locking/unlocking action until it was perfect. Now the locking points are no longer stiff to operate, and the handle lifts smoothly, as it should.
